Since joining McQuaide Blasko in January 2011, Christopher T. Michelone has focused his practice on banking law, business law, real estate, and estate planning. He provides a complete range of legal services to businesses and individuals in the Central Pennsylvania community. As a native of Hollidaysburg, Mr. Michelone is proud to serve the community in which he grew up.

Mr. Michelone assists clients in setting up their businesses and choosing whether they should incorporate, form a limited liability company, or create a partnership. He works with each client to ensure that the chosen entity type is the best fit for their individual business. He also assists clients in negotiating lease and purchase agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, licensing agreements, and a host of other transactional arrangements.

In an economy that is becoming more dependent on services and information, Mr. Michelone recognizes that it is more important than ever for a business to protect its branding and intellectual property through trademark and copyright protection. He helps clients secure these rights through the federal registration process.

Along with providing business owners with the tools necessary to meet goals during their lifetime, Mr. Michelone also helps these clients craft estate plans that protect their assets and allow the businesses they have built to pass to the next generation. He provides advice on how to structure wills and trusts to minimize tax liability and ensure that the client’s family will be properly cared for when the client is no longer around.
